Volunteer at the Middleport Poppy Display

Between the 2 August and 16 September 2018 Middleport Pottery will be hosting the world wide known ceramic poppies.

The poppies are going on a UK tour to commemorate the First World War Centenary. Stoke-on-Trent produced just under half of the original ceramic poppies created.

The poppies will be displayed from the Middleport pottery site and can be seen from the Caldon Canal towpath.

The Canal and River Trust have been asked to manage the towpath through out the display and are looking for volunteers to get involved and support the event.

A volunteer page has been set up for anyone who wishes to get involved, so click here if you’d like to sign up for this experience.

Anyone who signs up will be contacted with training dates and to be asked for their availability.
